Q&A
- Have you gone to Arizona yet?
Next week!! Omg and we are driving. Why are we driving? We’re taking our dogs. One is my emotional support animal and one is just going because she’s my son’s dog too.
I finally get to see my grandson in person!!! We FaceTime lots and lots!! But oh, I can’t wait to kiss that little man!!!
We’re going to Flag and Prescott and Sedona and Jerome. We are going to do a bunch of filming for my channel. Can’t wait. I have a favorite restaurant in Prescott, Iron Springs Cafe. First time I went there was with the oldest son, his two best friends and it was for Sunday brunch on Halloween. We’d been up late the night before taking ghost tours and it was a frigging nightmare. I’ve never seen a place that busy. Somehow we accidentally got cut in front of the huge line and boy were we grateful. Had a great time.
Flag is just one of my favorite places ever. We have taken our kids up there for Christmas vacations to play in the snow. One year I watched a storm rolling in and watched and watched and at 4:30pm I called a hotel and asked “ so.... is it snowing? Do you expect the four feet?” The guy asked how long my drive was... two hours... he said leave now or you won’t make it before it dumps. The kids didn’t know that not only had I packed for them ( husband was in Texas. Oldest son had to stay home for work) but I’d bought them all ski clothes, boots, sleds, you name it I bought it and it was in my van. I threw in their stuff, stopped by the park, told them to get in the van and as the cactus turned to pine trees they saw the flakes falling. 5 ft of snow, our own courtyard to play in, sledding, we were on the news and we stayed for like five days. I loved it!! I took $75 in quarters to dry their clothes. It is one of my best memories.
I’ve never been to Sedona or JEROME and I think we are going for my birthday. Mine is the 16th, the grand boy is the 18th and we should be back by the 20th. It will start next week though!!
- anything new that you like?
Yes! Stranger on Netflix and Outsider on (?) I watch it on Demand. Both really good!
Hey Dude shoes. I’ve had my first pair since... November? And fell in love with them. I hate shoes... but I also love cute shoes so I wear the cute odd ones and endure the uncomfortable aspects. I do love Tieks but I think they DO need to be warn in, I don’t care what they say. Hey Dudes fit exactly like you’re barefoot. They are super light, not tight in any way, I forget I have them on! I bought them for nearly my entire family for Christmas like Oprah’s favorite things and now we’re all hooked. If you haven’t worn them, do. You will thank me!!
Tea with a small bit of cream and honey. It’s my go to feel good drink these days.
Vit C serum for my face. It feels great and I just think it keeps my skin soft and nice. Try the Drunk Elephant brand. Lovely... keep in the fridge!! In fact, I’ve been experimenting with several serums!! Loads. You can mix and match and basically make a face cream just for you. Totally customized and I love that!!! I have a sensitive little baby face that burns from some products so I like having control over what goes on. Vitamin E, B12, B5, etc... if you want a super high quality product without the super high price, try the Ordinary brand. You can get it online or in Sephora. You won’t regret it.
Flannel pj bottoms. I splurged on a ridiculously priced pair of pj bottoms and a simple white Tee to wear home after my surgery. My life is currently all about flannel everything, sheets, quilts, pj’s and flannel is one area where it really does matter if you go cheap. It’s just not going to hold it’s shape and it feels flimsy not soft and if I could live in flannel pj’s I would.... I’ll be honest, on my very worst urologist dr days, I have been know to wear flannel bottoms and a white tee and my Hey Dudes because this one needed a fucking break. I did not care even one bit.
- I heard you call yourself Auntie Tracy to your friend Rob’s daughter on a podcast. Do they call you that? Yes. It’s a Manchester thing I hear. Like in Hawaii where everyone is your Auntie or your cousin.
Sorry that took more time than I was planning and I’m not feeling well tonight. I’ll do this again soon.
Luv,
Tracy
